Christmas at the Vann House
North Georgia's first Christmas was held at the Vann House, near the newly completed Old Federal Road. Moravian missionaries from the school at Spring Place visited James Vann, a mixed-blood Cherokee at his home
Begin a family tradition this year with a visit to North Georgia's Santa Claus, centrally located in Canton, Georgia. Santa and Mrs. Claus have plenty of things to do -- visiting their home or spending time in their festively decorated backyard before sitting on the lap of the jolly old man himself!
Speaking of tradition, one of the longest running Christmas traditions in the Southeast is Rich's Pink Pig. The store was bought by Macy's in 1991 and the Pink Pig is now housed next to Macy's at Lenox Square.
