What ever happened to The Texas?

I read with great interest the site concerning the Civil War Engine, The General ... more interesting to me is what happened to the Texas??? ... seems she played a large role in this and sure hope she was saved... I have a 1930's circa real photo postcard of the Texas ... so am curious as to what became of her ...hope you can answer my question .. thank you in advance for any time and effort ...

The locomotives that plowed their way into the history books on April 12, 1862 today sit about 30 minutes from each other. The General, whose home is being recreated as the Southern History Museum, is in Kennesaw, and The Texas is housed in the Cyclorama in Atlanta (a href="http://roadsidegeorgia.com/city/atlanta01.html">History of Atlanta. For many years before the Cyclorama was built, the engine sat in Grant Park, exposed to the elements. That is the photo in the post card, probably. Every few years there is talk of getting these two old workhorses together, but it has not come to pass.
